Using Barack Obama’s accessories that he would wear most days of the week, with his suit to imply his daily dress. These products are things which link to a powerful man and show his importance. Keeping to the same colour tones and sleek clean lines of white, silver and black, along with as evident in the pictures below. These colours have been chosen as from an earlier article on my blog it says he prefers blue or red ties with crisp white shirt. So I think using either one of these products is a necessity to create a definite Obama look.
Products I could use in my shoot: Watch, Cufflinks, Tie, Shoes, Socks, Shirt, Sunglasses.
I have chosen to go with more accessory type products, as I think shooting a suit is quite difficult and a bit boring and would not fit in as well with my other 2 shoots. Using these products, I need to find an object, which could be the ‘briefcase’ or the ‘mirror’. It needs to give the idea of being in a wardrobe and getting ready.
Objects I could use to aid my shoot: Chest of Draws, Shoe rack, Coat hangers, Hanging rack.
I have decided to go with the coat hangers as it is simple, structured, straightforward and easy. Although I don’t think as an object its as strong as the previous two shoots. I believe the shirt will also act as an aid to the shoot. However, the coat hanger does have the potential to create interesting lines and angles, which will furthermore connect the 3 shoots.
The picture of the shirt folded was something I was inspired by. I could fold and place the products around the shirt as if someone is going to wear it. However they would be placed in a very organized rigid, structured form. Firstly to relate to the other shoots and secondly to depict the structured day-to-day life Obama lives.
